I could not put this book down! There was also way too much emphasis on drugs, and the language could have been tamed quite a bit We hear all of that too much at Walmart or the ball games. They see to it that he gets a good private education, so he can earn a football scholarship. Very good story. James Patterson makes things thrilling and quick paced in this great read.

The Blind Side tells the story of Michael Oher, a homeless kid from the projects who is taken in by a devout Christian family and made part of their family. But, overall, I enjoyed the book and was able to finish it quickly over the long weekend.

You teach your children to do what’s right, even when no one is watching. It was just when it came to the Bennett family, there was some information I have obviously missed. I love Sandra Bullock, but as a mother, especally of boys, the clothes she wore were too tight, too revealing, and frankly not an example to set for her children.

Oher eventually becomes an All-American at Ole Miss and then the first-round draft choice for the Baltimore Ravens. I had a hard time understanding what made these characters the evil people they were and parts of the story were not really believable. Can I give this movie 10 stars?

And, the fact the mom did not believe all Black men just want to have sex with white women (or rape them). The book was an easy read, and I liked the main character. James Patterson has several bestselling series, each carrying different levels of readership popularity. And as they grow, we must let go and pray right and wrong is clear most times...and that we’ve given them a firm foundation to stand upon as they choose “right”. Meh.

What can be said other than what has been written in over 3,000 reviews? When it comes to the mystery aspect of the story it stands alone quite well. It's been a long time since I read a James Patterson book, but I was in the mood for something fast-paced and this book was available for checkout right away.

She could have easily said something different. And, being set in the South, the movie helped eliminate the stereotype of the South. Well another James Patterson book finished. Sorry to say but all his books are gettin g so predictable still a good read though. I love this series of books!

The James Patterson co authored books are very hit and miss for me but there are a few pairings I really enjoy. Mixed feelings about this movie. Sandra Bullock will forever be remembered for her outstanding performance in this film, and as she’s shown in her own personal life she walks the talk so this was a natural role for her. Even the humour doesn't match up to the previous books in the series.

Michael Bennett and his family are so so good. In a story that does little for Bennett’s character development, but showcases his abilities, the authors provide the reader with a decent crime thriller set on both sides of the Atlantic.

Next in the line of ridiculousness is that an Estonian cyber criminal with a vast network of hackers is sending killers to America to murder hackers if they don't go back to work for him. Makes me disgusted). I can't wait to see what's next, This was a very timely book with everything taking place in our country right now.

And that a double murderer would be hanging around the murder scene to encourage the robbery to become murder is equally ridiculous.

And once again I find the book less than satisfying. He also protected his step-brother when they were in the auto accident, not thinking about his safety. This takes him to a country unknown to him.

Also, whenever they had to venture into the unsavory part of their town (to see his mother and to get clothing), he would protect Sandra's character no matter what (can't remember the characters names).
